Come on Saturday

Postby littlebeaver » Thu May 14, 2015 10:42 am

It was Tuesday that they arrived, it is Thursday today and I am counting the minutes, Oh lord help Me get through this day  ,,,, Let me have the strength not to put a loved one into the hospital where they probably need to be...lol My beloved Mother-in-law arrived Tuesday and Penny's sister Karen are here for my daughters graduation,,,,Oh dear.... Karen is a Demon from the world under us,, satins child.... The Mom is a OCD clean freak Nazi lady from hell, brought her white gloves and all.  ... I'm sure you guys have one of your own,,, Karen talks with a extremely bad southern draw, she looks like granny from the Beverly hillbillies, oh dear lord help me...It's hard for me to imagine they came from the same Mom...They leave Sat. and it seems that time is in slow freakin motion around here today,,,,, Oh and I had to buy their airline tickets for some reason,, OH joy.... But if it makes my wife happy, I suppose I can suck it up for a few days, if we lived by them, I would shoot myself for sure....I'm gonna feel rotten to the core when she/they pass away,,, If I don't die first of self destruction.....

Welcome to my world.

My mother in law VISITS for two weeks in every month of the year. But while she is staying under my roof - she belives the sign on the front door says - full service hotel - bell boys, maid service, drink waiters, a la carte food, entertainment provided, and of course free meals and free shopping tours and such like.

I do admire her for her independence and attaining her age and being so sprighlty (over 80) - but there is a limit to my affection.

I have started caller her dementia granny - it's OK - she won't remember tomorrow morning. Or if she does she reminds me "you're out of the will"

Can you have a bad Southern drawl? The accent always seems so charming to me, its like being back in the nineteenth century.

Whenever I harken back to either of my mothers-in-law, I recall something humorous I saw once. It was a large, disc-shaped 20-pound rock with a hole in the middle, and a rope through the hole, tied at the ends. It was advertised as a "mother in law necklace, specially designed for swimming!". I frequently pictured it being used as designed, and it always brought a smile to my face.

I had one ML from hell the first wife's, she was a alcoholic, she died from it but not till after the divorce, my second wife Lis is Dutch, her mother was a great old girl, it was her dad that was the BStrd. But if it is so bad why not tell your wife you joined the national guard and are off on manoeuvres. It should just coincide when she comes and when she goes.

And , and if Mr. Policeman wants to give me a citation for exceeding the limit I shall explain my situation....

I was patient  I was calm, I kept busy out in the garage, I went to Pick & Pull, to every store I could think of to stay away, I tried to avoid them most as I could...They are gone now, back to the chambers of Hell from which they came  far far away from me and my family, Penny tolerates both of them, openly admitting that they both have grace issues, they can't say Thank you for anything, they take things for granted, and they don't help with anything at all, and they complain   ....It's funny how nice they can get though when they need some work done around their house or money... Maybe I'm getting tired of doing so much for ungrateful people is all....But they are Penny's family so I gotta be cool...So glad I could vent here... It was the best therapy ever,,, I feel better now   ....especially knowing there is another frustrated soul out there with the mother in law from another planet, and a sister in law from Gosh only know's where....lol  what's so puzzling is this,, my wife is so so different from them, she has grace, she is smart, and polite and sweet as pie, What the pluck happened to the rest of those idiots...lol there I said it...I really feel better now...lol I'm really not a Butthead, I am really a nice person, generous and kind...Never going after anyone, but after 27 years I'm tired of it....I call BS...

Humm sounds like you need some support in this, vent all you like on here, what I would say is tell your wife how you feel when they come. If she still needs them around suggest that she goes to them. Sort of a holiday for her.

Maybe a little confusion when your lovely wife was born??? :? The old switcheroo thing.. Here is how it works.. You have two volunteer grannies rocking babies in the maternity ward. Said grannies forget which cribs babies were taken from..??.. :? PLace babies back in wrong crib. :o I know this is a long shot but I have heard of this happening. Just a thought... BTW, I have a friend like that. Not like any of the nuts in his family.

Anyways, glad you survived. There are some great ideas here. National guard, send the wife, I think this could be another topic. "How to ditch your in-laws" It should give you 11 months to plan.

Divorce your in laws, some time ago in the States a young lad Divorced his parents, they had split and the just kept on craping down the neck of the other party whenever the kid went to one or the or the "parent" so he divorced them legally. So take the to court and take out a restrainer order not to come within 300 miles of you. ;)

Sunday is always a good day. The day after a storm is always a great day. Go for a ride, and it will be the best day to free your body of the negatives that you have had. :D
