Had a visitor

Postby littlebeaver » Fri May 15, 2015 10:29 am

I had a visitor the other day, been so busy I forgot to post it, My in laws are here and driving me to drink again....  I hate it when My wife leaves me alone with them, as I try my hardest to entertain them, it's difficult for me, I'm a happy go lucky kinda guy, they are so darn negative about everything geez....anyways, back to the head topic.... Sportsfreak (Ed) stopped by to show me his 81 Gl, and it sounded nicer than mine did, he did a fine job fixing the bike up, he said he was going to give it to his son, lucky young man to get that bike.... We rode through my favorite roads, highway 5 from KCK to Leavenworth, it's a gorgeous country road with very little stops, lots of nice curves and hills and dips,,, country scenery, and as we come closer to Leavenworth we come across a state prison in Lansing Ks. then we arrive in Leavenworth, we rode through downtown area then out north to 98 highway I think it was and onto 45 east, jogged north on 435 loop and onto 152 east where Ed was on his way back to his part of town in Mo., What a cool cat that guy is,,, I'd like to have a beer with him maybe sit and watch the Chiefs play...Pretty cool ride we got in there... Fastest mechanic in the west that Ed is.... :D

Nice curves, hills and dips on a KS road? Not when I was there. Our definitions must differ

Yeah I know,,, it's basically flat land and not a whole lot to Kansas, but there is a cool road out to Leavenworth for sure... Try riding out I-70 west to Colorado, My gosh is it a boring ride....

Know its new taste and be loyal, you'll know when to change that oil.
Taste testing as the miles flow, souring as that acid grows.
And don't flirt with dirt or darkened oil, all the faster your engine will spoil.
