Well, I found the right one :D 1994, only 25,000 miles, wow. He even took my Vulcan as a trade and I didn't have to pay too much for the difference. Make the trade this week. Man, this is exciting!! Finally get a 1500 and this one looks amazing :) will get picks upon my return. I looked for over a month, kept my wits and found her. Very interesting with such low miles on a 94. Oh, its an Aspy.

Congrats on joining the 1500 group. With those low mileage something tells me that this wonderful machine will need a lot of preventive maintaince because of the lack of use. I don't wish to rain on your parade, but remember the last deal you found and conquered the lack of maintenance with that bike, this one will be no differant, except for more things to deal with. Best of luck and again welcome to the 1500 club :D :D

Congrats on your new ride, when I grow up I'm gonna get a 1500 one day. For now I'll be happy with the 82 Aspy I picked up a year ago. Been working on the usual stuff to keep the old bird from futher decay. Last Sunday (after Church) I went for the first long distance ride to our cabin at the lake.
As I hoped it turned out to be a nice ride in spite of the gale force winds we enjoy up here in the sub-arctic of Grande Prairie Alberta. Really grateful for the full fairing and lowers which came back looking like I drove through a paint ball tournament....Bummble Bee yellow every where.
Truly these old Wings are amaxing for their age. At 127k , it runs pretty well, a little noisy but some valve adjustments will probably fix that. I'm not a mechanic but since "Golwingdocs" rolled across
my computer screen and all the GREAT advice and self articles, I Am Fearless.
This will be my 5th bike and at 65, this will be the most fun....untill I find that 1500.
Happy trails.

Oh boy... one more day and you get to ride your new 1500.I bet you have not slept in a week, tossin and turnin, plus Friday will never get here. The longest week in your life. Looks like another 26 hours or so (come on clock!) and you and new wing will be on the road. Looks like rain your way tomorrow, grab you rain suit, tire gauge, check the fluids. Now grin and ride...glad I could help, we are waiting.

I cant believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The deal fell through. remember, I was trading on this deal and I guess someone showed up with cash bought it right under me. Feel very betrayed !!!!!!!!!!! this was quite a drive for me to get her, but I was very willing. I am really p.o. right now. I realize there are more out there but we agreed. Never talked with the guy, just through texting and maybe that had something to do with it. I was extremely busy at work this week and really could only text.
I apologize to everyone for sending me congrats, I absolutely did not see this coming.
I am going to step away for awhile and take a vacation with the wife in my small camper. we are headed to the beach. Upon my return, I think I will ride sleeping beauty somewhere, and just be thankful I have her.
This bike i wanted would have been perfect, but i guess, "cash was King" and it beat me to it. I have learned from this, that when you find a deal, you have to act on it fast. take off a day from work and get the bike, don't mess around as the owner might do what he did to me

Sorry to hear that this one got away. But you are right, take care of business sooner than later. More than likely had you communicated via phone you would e a proud owner. Sometimes things turn out for the best in this situation and a better deal will come your way while you are on the beach or going to or coming from. Enjoy your holiday and travel safe

Integrity is not common anymore, now it's all about a quick dollar. Maybe it's your lucky day and a better bike is around the corner.

Sorry to hear that man, he must be related to the guy I was dealing with on the bike I have now.
Sold it to another buyer with cash in hand only two hours before I was due to pick it up.
Don't give up, you'll find the right deal if you persist. It sounds like you're not one to let this disscourage you. It's in the blood.

man that really sucks. i feel your pain. I've had that happen me before while i was looking to purchase another vehicle. i told the person i would be there at a certain time and while on my way to buy it, he had sold it and didn't even have the decency to call me and let me know. he waited till i showed up to tell me. boy was i angry, but hey, that's life. think of it this way, this bike you were after, maybe it wasn't meant to be yours, its possible that there was something wrong with it that the PO didn't want to tell you about and that's why he sold it to someone else.

don't get discouraged, another one will come your way and it might be in better shape than this one was. don't give up your search, you'll find the right one eventually.

That's too bad,it sounded like a good one.Maybe the guy needed the money bad.A lot of people hurting these days.I got extremely lucky when I picked up my 1800 a few years ago.I just happened to see the advert right after the guy posted on Kijiji(sort of like Craigslist only better IMHO)and sent him a message telling him I'd take it if it was what he said it was.I did phone him right after, but basically bought it sight unseen and yes the price was that good for my area.We talked a few times before I was able to do the 3-4 hour drive to get it and while it was only a few days he did hold it for me.After we'd done the deal and got it loaded he said he'd had a few offers after I told him I'd take it.He said that same morning a guy had offered him a $1000 more than the asking price, but he told him no that a deal had already been struck.I didn't even try and beat the guy down the price was that good.Like I said I got lucky the only problem I've had so far is the weak suspension and that's just part of the deal on all the early 1800's.

Come to think of it I was the bad guy when this deal went down.I had pretty much sealed a deal on a real nice low mileage 2000 SE that I backed out on when the 18 popped up.I did call him right away and explain the situation and apologize. He was OK with the whole thing as he had people wanting his as well, but was holding it for me.BTW the 2000 and the 04 were the same money.

If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.
