I'm sure there are many out there. Seems like a good deal. want to ride across canada on it.

First off you should do some things to the Goldwing. It is older and I would recommend you replace timing belts, flush out any old gas, & sync the carbs. I am sure some of the people who have bought the older wings will add more. But, you are saying you will be taking a road trip and you want that bike working right. Food for thought, should a timing belt fail, you will damage you engine. The cost to fix would most likely be prohibitive unless you are a motor mechanic. Some of the stories I see here definitely get my attention on the older units. I am sure more will add some advice in the next day or so.

Good luck!

thanks.
the bike will get a thorough go over. Needs to have proper brakes, suspension, good tires, etc. be mechanically sound.
i'm mostly interested in handling performance.
