loading and securing a 1500 on a trailer.

I haul my 1500 behind my motor home when ever i travel, after reading everything i could find about securing it on the trailer i have that down pat. my problem is loading her on the trailer, as i use the trailer to haul other supplies, and the cost, i can't just purchase a trailer for the bike. two times i have laid the bike down loading, so needless to say i'm trying to come up with a better way for me.
i took the electric winch off the boat trailer, and mounted it on the front of the MC trailer and with the remote control, and with a strap around the top on the triple tee i was able to slowly walk her up onto the trailer and into the front tire MC stand.
my concern is will this method damage anything?

I also had the similar problem a few years back but I made a strap that would allow my to use the valve cover guards instead of any areas that put unusual strain on the steering and shocks during the loading process. Once level on trailer I would manually roll the bike into position. I have a tilt trailer so most of of Time I drive the bike on and then load anything else after the 1500 was secured.
