Sleeping beauty is passing the test

Postby made2care » Fri Jun 19, 2015 4:29 pm

So I am still in the midst of my trip planning and with that being said, I have purchased the necessary riding apparel and helmet just to ensure I am as safe as I can be.
While the products come in, I took Sleeping Beauty out for a longer test ride than normal. 2 hrs, which for me is a big deal, since I normally spend more time fixing bikes than riding them.
She appeared to do just fine, very stable and easy to ride. I just recently replaced the 30 year old clutch hose to braided stainless and a marked difference is present for sure. Prior to this switch, the clutch lever would turn spongy after the bike heated up, now with the stainless lines the reverse somewhat, which I can't explain. For example, when I slow down the lever gets slightly soft but once I attain speed, lever is tight again. Just might be a little air in there somewhere, but she changes gears just fine.
Well, I await all my stuff and then we are off..................to never never land
I will be sure to take pics of our journey 8-)

Say Hello to Wendy and Capt Hook for me while you are there.
Len in Kapunda

The world is not going to finish today, as it is already tomorrow in Australia and New Zealand, and other islands of foreign nations such as Guam and Samoa.

Why do you think the bike won't make the trip? It IS a Goldwing, after all.

Since everything is relative, I question my skills, not her :D I virtually dismantled the entire bike  I guess I'm in disbelief that my work is holding up
