Re born Goldwing rider.

Post by sanglasmick » Tue Jul 21, 2015 5:38 am

Hi all,

Just a little note to introduce myself. I live in Wexford, Ireland. I have just bought my second Goldwing, a 1996 GL1500. I had a 1976 GL1000 many years ago, which unfortunately met with a sad end, crashed. I have owned many bikes since, but always wanted a GL1500.

So on Saturday last I bought her, showing 62000 miles. Needs a lot of servicing, and cleaning. Waiting on my Clymer manual before the work commences, but really looking forward to getting stuck into it. I have seen the service manuals on this site and they are the best, and are downloaded, thank you.

So just "Hello All".

Welcome to your rebirthing ;) Once you get into them, they are really great bikes, but, like all things, there are some quirks that you will have to figure out along the way. When doing your maintenance, make sure you record what you have done, when, and how much it costs. Enjoy your GW, and keep the smiles going.
