I used to do that from time to time with my GL1100 (no real effort required, and it was nice and stable with the front wheel up), and my Kawasaki Concours used to do it with even the slightest urge, but I doubt I could be convinced to try it with my GL1500. There's sooo much more weight that I'm afraid I'd "break up on re-entry"...for those who remember the series, picture the crash in the opening scene from "The Six Million Dollar Man"...

That guy has no business attempting that kind of stuff on his GL1800. He is just barely in control most of the time, corners with his foot down, holds it up in the air for a second or two before it goes out of control....

I have seen this done with precision and grace, with surgically accurate control - this guy is very close to catastrophe most of the time.

You wanna know why there was issues with cracked frames on some of the early GL1800's? :shock:

Riding the Dragon will give your bike a bad case of the peg and pipe scrapes. Now you know there is the dreaded rear pipe scrape.
