Postby Ken Styles » Tue Aug 04, 2015 9:30 pm

I just wanted to get clarification. On a 1986 1200 gl

The foot brake controls the back brake and one front disc? The front break lever controls 1 front brake disk only?

You are correct. Hand brake activates the right front only.

Umm check that. when I rebuilt my brakes, the left front brake is controlled by the hand lever-I have the same bike. The right side is linked to the rear brakes???

OP has a 1996 on his profile and writes 1986 in his posts. People are assuming a typo I guess and it's causing confusion in this thread and others. But ya, wilmo, you're correct on the 1200.
