You can get an iSimple without the usb charger for half that price or a bluetooth enabled one for 7 bucks more. Just saying.

I decided to mount switch panel inside left fairing pocket. Underneath the pocket is all the wiring. The only wires going to the radio are the antenna input and output from the interface , so the rest I tucked neatly in left fairing. I looked at some options under radio itself but no room. Here's a pic showing switch about 1" inside pocket.

I like the looks of this set up, how is it when traveling from state to state ? Do you have to reset the station it comes in one if a station already exhists there as you travel ? How hard would it be to take apart the input panel and actually mount the input jack, USB plug anf power swwitch some place else ? Over all, looks like a great solution for adding AUX input.
Music is probably the only real magic I have encountered in my life. There's not some trick involved with it. It's pure and it's real. It moves, it heals, it communicates and does all these incredible things.

If the isimple power is on, travelling from state to state will not interfere, therefore no resetting of station.Uncle Fester wrote:I like the looks of this set up, how is it when traveling from state to state ? In terms of placement of the input jack, that is up to you. you can place it anywhere you like keeping in mind distance/length of cord from input to unit. Actually, if you download the installation procedures, you have three options for mounting.

Should have asked earlier, can you play music (mp3 or wma) from the usb port? That would be great if you could do both. The little radio (Dual XR-4110) that I installed in the samurais here will let me do that, plus use a memory card.
