GL1000 (NEW) Exhaust System

Postby GL1000-1976-SCX-593P » Wed Sep 02, 2015 1:59 pm

Just taken delivery of my brand new GL1000 exhaust system today, WOW WOW WOW, it is magnificent carries a guarantee and is made from improved materials from the original it is splendid, also found the Lester wheels that I wanted and a Rickman Type 5 Fairing, what a day, just got to get my black bits powder coated and I can start the re-assembly.
I am not out of the woods yet I have to sort out an iffy wiring harness and also set up the cam belts once I get the engine in.
If anyone would like the info for the exhaust let me know, I cant imagine they will stay at the price once demand starts to take off.

happy winging
John

There is a thread on here regarding the new 1000 exhaust. Expensive but if you are doing a full "restore" what else ya gonna do? Glad to hear the product is of excellent quality.

Not sure if that was the thread I posted almost a year ago, when you consider that you can pay 400/500 for a used set then the price for a brand new better than original is a No brainer when you take into account that with postage the cost could be significantly more for a used set..
I have a good set of silencers in good condition but on this project I wanted the best I could get, in my view that is what ive got.
when I sell the used set the cost will be offset quite a lot.
