How To Take Your Dog On Your Goldwing

Post by Slim Pickins » Wed Sep 02, 2015 6:40 pm

Tonka loves his new ride. He weighs 18 1/2 lbs. and used to ride in the saddle bag of my 1994 Voyager II. After getting my 2000 / 1500SE a little over a year ago I finally figured out how to get him on with us. I have had him on a 5hr ride with rest stops every 1 1/2 hr. and speeds up to 110 Kilometers/Hr. or about 65 Miles/Hr. We mounted a bicycle mirror to our helmets to keep an eye on him.

Any and all Comments and Questions welcome.

Nice looking "house" and I'm sure Tonka loves to ride, but with it mounted way out in back like that, aren't you worried about hitting bumps?
Poor dog would be hitting the roof, literally.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood!
