Doing a little research on the honda magna v65. Anyone owned one and are they really that fast?
I guess a grandmother years ago made a trip around the world on one of these.

I had the V65 Saber about 12 years ago and yes it's pretty fast. It's no GSXR but it's as fast as you want to go on a bike like that. Hits 120 mph easily enough. Mine the PO had lowered the rear and it was a bit sketchy on rough roads at high speed. I didn't keep it very long and sold it way too cheap.

As a former owner of a 700 Magna and a current owner of a V65 Sabre...Yes, that V-4 is plenty powerful. You can very quickly overcome the chassis on this bike. But when the engine is tuned (carbs synced, valves adjusted, etc.), it's one of sweetest sounding and running engines you'll ever wrap your legs around. Sounds better than the GW engines, IMO.

And with that stepped seat on the Magna, you'll not want to be sitting on it for very long.

Your mileage may vary...

There was a time when it was the fastest motorcycle sold but that was prior to the mainstream sportbikes becoming so popular. Magna's still have a big cult following.
