Washington State riders

Postby BigBike » Mon Oct 12, 2015 12:15 am

Just pinging to see if there are any others on here around eastern Washington State. I'm firmly surrounded by Harley's, Victory's, and rocket bikes.

It's not just you - here in Ohio, I think the Harleys outnumber all other bikes about 20 to 1.

One good way to spot how many Wing riders are around is to wait a couple of months.
There won't be nearly as many HDs on the road when it starts getting cold. :D
It's never too late to have a happy childhood!

Hey BigBike. NorthWest Washington here but there are lots of us in the state riding wings. Yup, lots of other brands of motorcycles out here but as it gets colder, they will be sitting in their parking spots as NVSB4 says. We ride year round and love every minute of it.

MikeB, I'm in Pullman. Yes, people do actually inhabit the southeastern portion of the state :) I have seen one wing trike in town, but no evidence of any others. I ride down to the Dayton/WallaWalla area some and see a few down there, but that's it. Buddy of mine went on a two week trip through Canada, and said he saw a ton of them up there. Folks here don't know what they're missing :)

There is a group in the Lewiston area, only about 30 miles from you, that are a part of GWRRA. If you are part of GWRRA, you should be able to find them easy enough.

If you are new to the whole wing riding experience, you might check out the GWRRA national site http://www.gwrra.org/ and drill down to Region I http://www.bigskyregioni.org/ and then to Idaho District http://gwrra-id.us/ and then Chapter B http://gwrra-id.us/?page_id=52. Hopefully you will find information there.

Here is a link to their September 2015 newsletter http://gwrra-id.us/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/ID-B-Sept-15.pdf.

I used to live in west Washington (Mapple Valley) but got fed up with the cold & damp, moved to Texas!! Maybe I should have bought a Hardly worth it son!! :D

Loving Texas!! In 3 months here have put more miles on my wing than I did in 4 years in Washington!!
