Hey what's everyone up to...?

Post by littlebeaver » Thu Oct 15, 2015 10:36 am

I have been working my tail off, producing lots of crafts, riding both bikes off and on, my 1100 is riding just perfectly, it's starts up each time like clockwork and runs thru the gears just right, the 99 Kawasaki voyager is a great bike too, ultra smooth and shifting gears is so smooth, damn nice bike...I gotta tell you the Voyager is a nicer ride than the Nomad I had. So what's going on with you guys....? Oh and trying real hard to stay out of trouble.... they should probably hide the Candy a little better, (diabetic) Oh and I discontinued my facebook account because man,, there is more negative BS on there, people have some weird idea's about stuff....

Figured out why my helmet didn't fit well.Got a lump growing on my forehead.Who knows what it is..I say that I'm growing a new cranial plate to allow for an expanding brain. :D
Just upset a Harley owner. He invested another $2k and dyno tuned it.Showed me the specs.A whopping increase of 18hp ..upped it to 92hp and a increase 15fp of torque.
I showed him the specs on my 88.100 hp and 110fp torque...STOCK...
With a grunt, all he could say was that the Goldwing was a different kind of bike.
I just let it drop.Certainly I wasn't gonna rub it in that mine cost me $20k less, performs better, etc, etc.
At least he rides.

Well it wasn't enough that I have absolutely no free time, so I decided to take on a small musical with Mrs. Wingadmin, put on by the local community theater. I haven't done anything like this for 25+ years. Rehearsals four nights a week, plus learning songs & lines at home, I now officially have zero free time. :) Oh, and I replaced my universal joint, rebuilt my rear brake caliper, and renewed my compressor dessicant. Hopefully I'll manage to get a newsletter out next month...

Low's in the 20's this weekend. :D I might even sneak a ride in this weekend to get a pic. of my bike next to an old old stone silo with a tree growing in the middle of it for photo tag :P Yep... busy time of year. And Virgil, hope your melon is okay!!

Sold my skidsteer and trailer to free up my time for travel. Finished a year long restoration. Wife closed her Florist, so no more deliveries.

Had a knot swell up on my spine at base of neck. Tested positive for cancer so it was cut out, about 5 " x 3" and 1" deep. They got it all. Doctor has been saying for years that I need to wear a shirt, but it ain't happening.

Bike is setting with bags in air for a week now for new tire. Had to pull of to replace an engine in wife's Explorer. Life won't be right until that is completed.

Turned 60 before the first grand baby so I'm having a blast. Riding would cost less than spending for baby, but she is worth it.

Well let's see here. Was in the process of putting new shoes on the 76 (tube type) with hand tools. Pinched both tubes. Took both tires to a shop to get it done right. Week later front tire down to 15 lbs rear tire flat as a pancake. Oh well! Bought a HF tire changer and waiting on new tubes to come in so I can test this thing out. Changer will be money well spent as I seem to be changing tires at least once a year on one or the other bike.
Also in the process of replacing the wheel bearings on the 93. Have the front completed and ready to start on the rear. Waiting on that as I need to order rear wheel dampers.
On a personal note. I have been going to the dermatologist so she can burn the hell out of me. Last trip she burned 14 age related spots off the top of my head. (no hair) Fortunately none turned out to be mal. Now instead of dark spots on my head I have white spots. :? She told me to start using sunscreen as I spend most of my waking hours outdoors. I will, if I can remember. Ain't old age swell?

Although I still have hair covering my skull, it is thinning in place. I wear a bucket hat, with a wider than normal brim. I am well aware of Basil Cell Carcinomas (BCC), as I have had several burnt off (using the doctor's favourite of dry ice and acetone), and some bigger ones cut off. I have not seen the one on my back, but the GP had two goes at it, and then sent me off to a surgeon. Everyone seemed to be pleased with the outcome.

A hat to protect my head, ears, and face, with sunglasses to protect the eyes. I always wear wrap around sunnies as even the gap of "flat" sunnies will assist in letting in UV and any wind to dry the eyes out. Look after yourself, and get your body checked at least once a year for 'interesting' items.

Like you Beave I have been very busy indeed. besides working 6 days a week, I put a new roof on my home. resurrected an 88 Chevy 1 ton 4x4 pickup. Getting the yard and toys ready for winter and about a dozen other little projects. still trying to find the time to finish putting the 1500 back together after last years deer strike. money and time are always just a little short but I am making headway on my lists. 8-)
Ride safe, Todd

other than enjoying the mighty ST1300 not much. I've ridden the 1500 wing some but I've put about 3000 miles on the mighty ST13. only mods are handlebar risers, gps mount, and a lead for my electric jacket liner
