As they say, when one ends, another starts.
Yesterday was the first day in Texas, for quite some time that it wasn't above the mid 90's.
Looking forward to a good ride with the group today as should only reach around 80.
Here we might get below 40 only a couple of days a year, so with a good heavy coat, I'm ready to ride.
So much better than when it's showing 106 and feels like 113 that we had less than 2 months ago.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood!

It's starting to get chilly here in Ohio, but no snow yet. I'll continue to ride as long as it stays above 40 or so. This round the Mrs. insisted on the heated seats. Handgrips are heated as well and I have a vent that sends warm air to legs. I put on flannel lined jeans, liner in my leather, wear several layers. I'll keep riding as long as the white stuff stays away. Don't think I can pick it up if I drop due to snow or salt. Hoping to ride well into December this year. Then again, it is Ohio.

Shortly after i posted the previous item, it began to sleet & snow on the east side of Cleveland. Might be a long winter once again. So much for El Nino.

That day began yesterday, when the Highway Plow Trucks spread salt on the roads to counter the dropped temps. Got all the way down to -3C (about 27F) . WTF are they thinking. We also got some snow and at -3 it will remain till tomorrow when it goes up to +10 (close to 50F). Again WTF are they thinking throwing salt down when the temps are forecasted to remain above freezing for another couple of weeks anyway. This is the time of year that major depression sets in, till I can reconcile myself to winter. End of whiney rant on my part,

Just over 19,000 kms. this season so far. Just over six months. A lot of great rides including a 2 week, 7700 km. ride west to Montana, and down to South Dakota, before heading back to Ontario. i hope to get 2 or 3 more weeks of riding, at least. The cold, I can dress for, as long as it isn't too windy. It's definitely out of the question when there's icy roads, or questionable weather forecasts. Oh well, it was great while it lasted.
By the way. Did I ever mention that I have absolutely no use for winter?

It is raining a bit today, and this past weekend. Had my first rain ride on the "new" SEI. It's actually a bit tougher with that massive windscreen I can't look over as easily. The rainx plastic formula may or may not have helped a lot.

Wife skipped the ride to work today (then again, mondays are her most unpredictable day for getting off work at any reasonable hour).

Probably the end of daily commute season, but I'll keep riding every chance I get. Got all the warmer gear out.

with last weeks cold spell in mind I went out and installed the harness so I can use my electric gloves and jacket liner on the mighty ST1300. I'm going to have to order and install a garbing wire harness for the 1500 wing soon
