Ode to my baby,,

Postby velvetrider » Sun Oct 18, 2015 10:16 am

My bike, Black Velvet, might not be the only thing with a few loose screws... I have been trying to bring her back from the grave. I might change her name to Jesus. Anyways for 4 weeks I have been working on her,, a long list of repairs. I actually started her yesterday. OMG..

MY BABY MAKES ME CRY.
My baby makes me cry, I will not let you die.
You consume all my time. Last thing I see
when I close my eyes.

I dream of tomorrow; when we go all the way.
to vistas beyond description, moments of flight & terror.

But today you make me cry, Your weeping head & coughing breath.
I will not let you die, This is why I cry.

I don't care what you say,,I am not obsessive about my bike.

Maybe someone here can 'identify'.

We're all praying for you. Or maybe with you. No one here has ever felt that way about a motorcycle. ;)

I can identify...that you might need another hobby!

No...I really feel for ya...going through the same thing.

I'm just not rich enough or talented enough, to get it all fixed and done YESTERDAY!
I don't tolerate voluntary stupidity very well, and it seems to be rampant now-a-days.
