Interesting decal alternative

Postby NVSB4 » Tue Dec 22, 2015 2:32 pm

I've been looking for a way to break up my solid white GL1500 without breaking up the wallet as well.
I ran across the site Purple Iron that has reflective decals.
They look normal during the day, but at night they really shine. I've attached an example they give.

The site is mainly for Harleys (of course), but have lots of options that can be adapted to our Wings or trailers.

those look nice. i like the way the flame blends into the tank paint and the way it shines in the dark. you COULD also have coordinated colors painted into the insert areas of your panels like on some of the older wings have. white and gold, white and brown, white and black.......those would make your bike stand out._______________________________________^.

A lot of the 1500 SE's have "stripes", including the '96 like mine. I don't understand why mine and several others that I've seen don't.

Having this guy make some decals to take the place of those really would make it stand out at night, wouldn't it.

you cant see in my avatar, but my pearl splendor ivory has the darker brown in the bikes insert panels. it makes for a very nice color combination. picture your white bike with either brown or gold panel inserts. i think it would really look good.

take a look at the pic below, maybe you can get an idea of what your bike will look like with painted panels. below that one is a photo of a white goldwing with silver panel inserts. i still say, (IMHO) it would look better in either brown or gold.
