trike in fire

Postby donhiatt » Wed Jan 06, 2016 11:06 am

I had a garage fire in sept last and my 89 trike was badly damaged-- all the plastic on one side was melted and bubbled-so I have stripped bike and got enough used painted parts to restore,am changing from wineberry to candy spectra.
cost for all new used parts was under $2500 - bike will look great--- labor will be about 30 hours to complete.
you can see the photos in pictures in formum

I'm sure that it's not just the plastics that you are dealing with.
If it got hot enough to melt the outside, I can't imagine what you are having to go through to check all of the hoses and wiring.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood!

I am very sorry to hear about your fire. I am glad no one was hurt and that you are restoring the bike. Best of luck, ride safe and keep us posted with pics.
