NEW TRIKE

Postby GRAPEAPE94 » Sat Jan 23, 2016 7:56 pm

Was at my local shop earlier this week to have some work done and the service manager mentioned that Honda is planning on a GOLDWING trike. He said that his boss has seen a Honda video about it and the rear wheels lean to help in turns.
Has anyone else heard anything about this??

I'm surprised Honda has gone this long letting all that trike money slip through their fingers.

Wishful thinking! After their losses w/the 3 wheeled ATV years ago, Honda has stated repeatedly, there will be no more!!!!!!

As Goldwing riders reach the waning portion of their riding career the trike is a great way to extend the face in the wind time. Harley started out having their trikes produced for them and evolved to factory production. Motorcycle production is a small part of the Honda line so the liabilities of trike production could out weigh profit margin. On the other hand dealers do make good profit doing conversations. I had an independent shop do mine for $17.000.
Obtaining the maximum enjoyment from operating a motorcycle is a mind game. Keep the mind on the ride from exiting the friction zone to kick stand down at the end of the ride.

If Honda is in fact planning a Goldwing trike, I would be *very* surprised if they did it in any other way than a reverse trike, with the two wheels up front.
