Are those snowmobiles I see? Do you bloody English have snowmobile rallies and camp in the snow and the cold just like bloody Canucks? Looks just like home (about a hunnert years ago when I was still foolish enough to do that stuff)

Unfortunately we would never get the kind of weather to make good use of Snowmobiles! I'd love to know what country that picture shows. Mind you, I have been to a few summer bike rallies in the UK that ended up looking like that! Good ol' predictable British weather!!

Surprisingly enough, I have been to a couple of bike rallies in the Southern US (New Mexico, Arizona, Texas) that ended up looking like that in June. We escaped them by leaving everything set up and heading to a bar to wait out the melt. Then went back to collect our stuff. "There are stranger things between heaven and hell than we will ever know" (that is the quote, isn't it??)

Riding in snowstorms is a quaint experience, which I have had, which I wish not to have again. Camping in the snow - same sentiments.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

Know its new taste and be loyal, you'll know when to change that oil.
Taste testing as the miles flow, souring as that acid grows.
And don't flirt with dirt or darkened oil, all the faster your engine will spoil.

The perfect place for all that snow, in a photograph!

It is a Treffen!!!!
Elefantentreffen (Elephant Rally) a motorcycle rally held each year on the last weekend in January or first weekend in February, in the Bavarian Forest in Germany near the Czech border. Organized by the Federal Association of Motorcycle Riders when snow is practically guaranteed. Between 5,000 - 10,000 riders from all over Europe attend.

I wanted to go last week, but my trailer needs new tyres, I ran out of firewood, and could not find my wooly hat

How about the bit where a guy rides past with outrigger skis on his bike, :D

When I first saw the photos I thought it was Canada, and was looking for your Goldwing in the videos :D :D

Looks like Valley Forge. Of course I have only a vague recollection of that now. Disappointed that the boobs were blotted out.

And some of them aren't even wearing gloves!

Maybe age has dimmed my senses but, with the right bike, that looks like a whole lot of fun! :D :D
A nice Ural sidecar outfit with 2 wheel drive.....or even just an XT500 with aggressive knobbly tyres, maybe?

Nope, watched twice.

I ride all winter here, even below 0*F. (so far -17*F)
Just watching these videos, BRRR_R_R_r_r to the bone.
