GL1100 motor swap

Postby ted_gold_wing » Mon Aug 03, 2009 8:31 am

Anyone know if a GL1000 motor will fit properly in a GL1100 frame?
I have a 1983 GL1100 with a motor siezed from rusted cylinders and wondered if I could transplant a GL1000 motor into it?

Or, does anyone have a GL1100 motor or short block they want to sell cheap?

Option 3 - Anyone interested in buying an 83 Aspencade to use as a parts bike? It has a title. Missing the front fairing and saddlebags along with a few other parts, but mostly complete. $300.00 or best offer. Western suburbs of Chicago. Pickup only.

Thanks,

Ted

Thanks for the reply. Probably a good deal for that motor, but with shipping cost, more than I want to put in it at this time. I'm trying to find a cheap local motor either an 1100 or 1000. Already have a couple good leads.
