Windshield too High

Postby revd » Mon Aug 02, 2010 8:54 am

I have purchased a '79 Gl1000 with a Vetter fairing. The windshild is much higher than I can see over. Is there any adjustment that will allow lowering of the windshild so that the top of the windshield is just below eye level?

I had to cut the top off of mine I used a cut off wheel to cut it down with. then I sanded it smooth with fine sandpaper.

Mine is intentionally high, and I look through it for normal riding. If I need to, I can sit up straight and look over the top.

I cut it down and sanded it smooth. It' s still a bit high but I can now see over it in the event of a heavy rain. Thanks for all the assistance.
