Long ride comfort

Postby dmor1019 » Tue Aug 03, 2010 1:22 pm

It has been a while since I took a 2 or 3 day ride,(2001 actually on a GL 1500). My "new " bike now is a 1982 GL 1100. I have the stock seat and was wondering if anyone has suggestions on what they use to keep the tush comfortable  when doing 600 or so mile days. Used to do bike shorts but wondering what others do,

Thanks folks :D

I got a beaded seat cover for the heat - it really helps prevent monkey butt and it isn't as hard as you would think. And I've got no ass to speak of. :P

I use a sheep skin, bought it at Ikea. doubled up is real nice. The wool wicks away moisture and lets air through,no monkey butt.It helps me do 10-12 hrs in the saddle at a time.oh ya floorboards help alot
Ride safe, Todd
