Trike shakes

Postby Pinkie » Thu Apr 21, 2016 5:07 pm

I have a 2008 Goldwing CSC trike and it shakes. Bearings have been changed, tire is fine, everything checks out in front; basically it's nothing to do with front end. Any suggestions to what might cause this? The drive shaft and mounting brackets were changed about 2 years ago.

couple things to consider
tire or tires out of balance or out of round
bent wheel, hit any potholes lately
rear axle not square, shifted or loose
drive line angle too much or too little
u-joint failing prematurely

it would also help if you describe when it shakes

It starts after about 50 mph. I can feel the left grip shake alot more than the right one. The head stem bearings & complete mounting brackets were changed about 18 months ago
