If the engine doesn't have many miles or years on it, and it isn't being broke in, then yes. I run a good motorcycle synthetic oil in my Wing. When I break in the engine in our new pickup, I'll run synthetic in it. After tearing the timing chain part of a Chrysler 2.7l engine that had "High Mileage" synthetic oil ran through it, what I saw turned me off of this type of oil. There is a film, not sludge that covered everything. Right now I'm thinking that it is the oil's leak sealant building up on the inside of the engine. Until I research what this film is, I'll stay away from "High Mileage" oils. Pick a brand of oil that you are comfortable with, not the cheap stuff. 8-)

Only if you want to.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Not on a salad.

I have used only synthetics since the first oil change after the initial 600 mile dealer check-up. I only have 132,000 on the bike now, but absolutely no mechanical problems. Just do regular oil changes and maintenance and you should enjoy many trouble free miles. And as Big Bee stated... don't buy the cheap stuff. What's your Wing worth to you?
