Old goldwing restore project

Postby greenerdayz » Tue Jul 19, 2016 8:37 am

I have a 1995 20th anniversary 1500 and i love riding it.

I also have a 1986 gl1200 with a burned out stator. It has been sitting in shed for a year now. It does need a lot of TLC and I am not prepared to do the work on it.
It has 75,000 on it and engine is good. Would like to know what an offer to what it is worth? Also still have title for it.

A non running gl1200 that needs a lot of tlc might not be worth much and possibly considered a parts bikes as is. Price could vary a lot from $500 to $1000 would be my guess. I see a lot of bikes like this on craigslist and its hard to tell if they are selling or not.

Am going to charge the battery and give it a start. The engine was fine but has sat for a while before starting. I rode her a year ago, it just let me sit too much so I stored her in shed now. Will post pics when i can.
