Are you a die hard?

Postby tylers883 » Tue Jul 26, 2016 1:44 pm

This morning I drove to work in the rain.45 minutes in a rain storm that drowned me in 10minutes.

open faced helmet. sunglasses.
windbreaker
fingerless gloves
jeans.
hiking boots.
no change of clothes.

I did it because I could.

have a nice day. ;-)

Oh no, not me. I'd have to wear full finger gloves.

Sorry, I haven't bought sunglasses with clear lenses but now I have seen the error of my ways.

You wore sunglasses because you could.. but you were really anticipating the rain tuning into snow with those bright white snow flakes.

Not a die hard, anymore. Have got caught by rain plenty of times but nowadays, with retirement and lots of time, I'd either go in the truck (if it was a got's to) or wait till tomorrow (if it wasn't a got's to.)
Back in my younger days, when a vacation was planned months ahead and a specific time period allotted for vacation, if the tornado sirens weren't going off, we were leaving.

I wear rubber gloves when I ride in the rain. They probably don't help, but I think they are helping - all that counts, right?

Also not a diehard. I will not leave home in the rain. I wait till it stops. If I get caught in the rain, oh well, I ride it out.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

"The sun never sets on cool." Wasn't that a quote from The Fonz?

Could be, I think I also heard Eric Clapton use it in a interview once. I always think of it when I see someone wearing sunglasses at night!

I guess I could be considered a die hard, with weather like this. And none of those "dry heat" comments! Not this time of year, I think this morning we were at 67% humidity.
