Have just arrived from Australia , bought an '83 Goldwing, transferred DMV registration at AA, and now I need basic Insurance cover to complete the 'legals'.
Doing a bucket list thing to the Rockies from LA, and Billings where I hear there may be a few more Gold wings.
To help me get there can anyone suggest a worthy insurance company to go through?
Cheers teddo

Get a quote from Geico and Progressive. Most people are pretty happy with one or the other. Then get a quote from Someone like Farmers or State Farm to see how much you're saving.
I have my insurance through Geico, only used the towing insurance portion, but had no problems with them other than they seem to have a pretty limited number of towing companies they use.

What part of the States have you settled in......and Welcome!

Mine is covered through Liberty Mutual, they beat several other company's quotes. That is also without any house or additional vehicle discounts.

Progressive for me. I have multiple bike (3 bikes) coverage however. I just added a new bike to my plan and the combined rate went down instead of up. Go with the Flo. ;)

Thanks for your advice guys.

Am here in LA to launch up the coast then a right to the Rockies.

As I made it from Anaheim on the 22, 105, and Santa Monica freeways in peak tge other 3,000 miles should be a doddle.

Please pass admiration to Wingadmin when you see him for such a useful functional website.

See you on the road,

State Farm here and they cover just the basics. Progressive looks good with its options and pricing. I really need to call flo :D

I use Foremost, which I guess has been recently acquired by State Farm. I just had to have some repairs done due to my own stupidity, and they covered the whole thing without a squawk. They even called me on July 4th (National holiday here in the States) to make sure that my claim was filed properly.

If you pass through the Boise, ID area on your way to Billings, stop off and say Hi.
