New fella from North GA

Postby Fabricator1978 » Wed Oct 12, 2016 10:45 am

Greetings all!

A long time lurker has finally joined...

I live in North GA and ride an '81 GL1100 standard (outfitted with '82 Aspencade wheels and '83 Interstate luggage); when I'm not on the GL, its the kick-only CB750K circa 1974. I just returned from the Barber Motorsports Park "Vintage Festival" where I took my daughter, the GL (plus trailer) and 4 days of gear/food for her 8th birthday "celebration weekend".

Cheers,

Chris

I'm a relative new be also. Welcome! I left Jasper & moved near Reno 6 yrs ago after 40 years of riding Appalachian roads. The BEST riding in the U.S. Not just my opinion but Butler maps as well.Hope to get back to E Tn (no state income tax). Isn't Barber amazing? Visited his collection when he was downtown & at the new facility. Can't explain it to anyone. Have to see it in person! Again, welcome!

Welcome from northwest Arkansas. Bet that girl enjoyed the heck out of that trip!
My granddaughter wants to ride but not until her feet reach the boards and she has a proper helmet.
Then I hope I'm still able. :lol:

Though my daughter is only 45lbs, she's just leggy enough to get her feet on the pegs! I believe Barber will be a regular Daddy/daughter birthday trip for us; she has been hooked on riding since her first trip around our neighborhood on my '74 cb750.

Looks like it won't be long before you'll have some competition for the front seat! :lol:
That's a "daddy's girl" for sure.

Thanks all;

She is enamored with motorbikes and has been riding on my '74 cb750 since about age 3... Right now she is saving up for her first dirt bike...
