Why Hello There

Post by tdanielwalden » Mon Oct 31, 2016 10:57 am

Hey everyone. Just thought I'd take a minute to say hello and introduce myself. I've used this site A LOT over the past several months marveling at the genius of the regular users, but this is my first post.

I'm Daniel from Troy, AL. My first Goldwing experience was a 1979 GL1000. Now I ride a 1993 GL1500A that belonged to a very dear friend before he passed away last summer.Since I've started riding Goldwing I won't ride anything else. I guess once you go Wing, you never go back, huh?!?!

Seeing as I ride a 26 year old bike, I spend most of my time on here perusing forum posts and docs looking for ways to keep it running as long as possible. She's got 121,000+ miles and runs and runs (almost) like new. I like to take pictures of my riding adventures and post most of them on Instagram. You can check them out by searching @tdanielwalden if you're into that sort-of thing.

I guess that's all for now.

Welcome Daniel, as you have found out, there is a lot of good information on this forum. I'm on my 3rd Gold Wing, the first was a 1979 GL1000, then I had a 1998 GL1500 and now I ride a 2012 GL1800. I tried a Yamaha Venture Royal, it was a nice bike but a little top heavy. Again, welcome
