Newbie to Site

Postby winger05 » Fri Sep 10, 2010 11:20 pm

Hi all, I am new to the site and I am sure I will have lots of questions since I am getting back into Wing riding. I sold my last Wing (87 Aspencade) back in 93 to do the new house and kids thing, but now I just picked up a 2005 Wing a couple weeks ago. It only had 6000 miles and looks like new. Looking forward to adding accessories and etc. and hitting the open road once again.

Also welcome to this great site from Sheboygan WI.
Congratulations on the new 2005 ride.Nothing like getting back into having that open feeling of riding in the fresh air. One thing you could add is the head light Modulator.
This is one thing I would like to see more of is the blinking head light modulator on all bikes. I'm sold on that with all the times it has saved my butt.I just had a friend that had a accident where ther guy pulled out in front of him. I just have this gut feeling that if he had been seen, it would have saved his accident.I know just where this accident happened on a open road.
My friend has been riding for over 35 years and didn't know about the headlight modulator. He now says he will install as soon as they rebuild his BMW.I have even been approached at stop lights by fellows along side me stating some thing is wrong with my blinking head light.I holler back telling them it says you see me, and thats whats it's for!!

I've had quite a few people wave me over, or get out at a stoplight to tell me my headlight is flashing. They're obviously seeing me! Love the modulator.

I can't emphasize enough that all bikes should have this devise installed on there bikes. Just the other day, I had a man pull out and he wasn't looking, because he was on his cell phone. But his passenger saw me comming, and had to say something to him and his head turned towards me and stopped.I was about a 1/4 block away and I'm sure she saw the blinking light.
