NY State Route 97

Postby ramdam1 » Fri Sep 24, 2010 7:47 pm

Had a really nice ride today on Route 97 between the towns of Port Jervis and Hancock. It is about 70 miles and it follows the Delaware River. A little early for the trees to turn but the traffic was almost zero. At one point I clocked 9 miles without seeing a car in either direction. I am sure if you live in the area you know the drive. Passed about a dozen fellow bikers along the way. For those not in the area it may be worth the detour if you are in the area. About 100 mile drive for me to get there and a 360 mile day. The old girl (1981 GL1100I) never broke a sweat. 45 MPG and not even a hipcup. Was really worth all the time last winter rebuilding it. This is the best Goldwing site and WingAdmin has my vote for President too. Saved me countless hours with the how to do.
