Hellooooo

Postby annisarich » Tue Sep 28, 2010 8:43 pm

Noooob here.

Looks like a fine resource here.
Started to ride in 2007
I have been on a 84 Shadow 500 and just found a 85 GL1200 Aspencade.
Rideable but will need some TLC over the winter.

I love my '86 Aspy. Once you get your 1200 running I'm sure you'll enjoy it !!

I have enjoyed it so far. :-)
Picked it up yesterday and got a nice 1/2 hour ride.

The machine is in pretty ok condition for a 1985 IMHO.
After riding the shadow for the last two years I was ready for more machine.
I love the look of that shadow but it was a little small for my commute.

The Aspencade was out on the road with a for sale sign for a month.Just teasing me as I did not have the extra $$
Seems the first buyer backed out.... My wife knew I was loving the looks of the Goldwing and knew it was going to end up in our Garage.

Now I need to locate a user manual..... (most expensive manuals I have ever seen :-) )

Have fun with your new found "Winter Project". ;)

I am in the process of putting together an '84 Aspencade. This will be a winter project for me. I am working on getting most of the painting done before it gets too cold. At this point, I think I have just about all I need minus a few trivial parts.
