Don't you just love it!

Post by seelyark1 » Wed Oct 04, 2017 11:48 am

Don't you just love it when someone asks a question about a problem on their bike and then gets 13 replies. And then doesn't post a message that their problem was solved. That's so we can all sit here and wonder what it was that solved the problem. Notice that quite often it is a new poster, but not always. It would be way easier for others with the same problem if you post what solved your problem. End of rant.....

As a moderator of another forum, I have to read all of the threads...

and, that is a real aggravation....

I will venture to say that 75% of the newbies get on, " state their problem " and then never, ever, post again.

13 to 30 posts have been made and batted "that problem" back and forth.... and finally, the thread just dies... argh!!!

Can we just say welcome to the "Don't you just love it when....." thread? How bout this?
- Don't you just love it when someone says they are looking for a part to buy and you have one, you let them know via forum and PM, and they do not respond?
- Don't you just love it when someone says they have a part that you desperately need and when you reply to them, they also do not respond (must be a relation to the brother or sister of the one above).
- Don't you just love it when ..... when .... when.... ugh.

I live on this board for my bike skills, learned a heck of a lot, and my bike has not run any better, so for those of you that do reply and offer your little tidbits of wisdom, I really do appreciate ;)

I've probably read 75% of the threads on this site end-to-end and probably a third of them on Saunder's site, and I'm amazed and kinda sad about how many threads just die and fade out without closure.... :?:
They say 98% of all Hardleys ever made are still on the road..... The other 2% made it home.
(I stole this from somebody on another GW site...)

I am just not even asking for parts anymore. I have found any of the parts I need (replacement plastics and such) I am now just replacing with the chrome plastic ones. I figure within 5 years or so, my bike will be full silver..... not a bad way to go ;)

This is an issue on many forum sites, unfortunately.
