Restored faded red lenses

Post by Squatchmo » Thu Nov 09, 2017 8:36 pm

I used Testors 1629 on the inside of the right two lenses. They used to look like the ones on the left. I've since done them all and they don't look half bad.

Looks good! Testors also makes a clear Stoplight Red, and Tamiya makes a clear red X-27, both of which I've had good results with on model cars anyway.

Looks much better. I wonder how it will stand up to the heat of the incandescent bulbs? Let us know in a few months on how they are holding up.
