I love my bike, rides great and very quiet. Anybody else got one like this? 1993 Interstate, only 33k on it.

Thats great to hear, any problems I need to know about? And what kind of gas mileage do you get? My bike runs great, but smells a little gassy when idling. Have you experienced this?

I love the ride the best, and of course the power. I love the blue color, its really pretty in the sun. Yes my wife rides with me, and she really enjoys it. She said the ride is really smooth, and loves the big seat. I have owned several bikes over the years, but this is the biggest one. She rides much different than I had expected, I thought she would be slow and sluggish because of the size. But I am quite happy with the response and quickness of such a big bike. I do want to add speakers in the rear boxes by the passenger seat, any suggestions?

It would seem to me then that you sir have made a very good purchase..Those seats look comfortable...It's amazing how light these bikes feel once you get them rolling..How could somebody not enjoy a bike like that..That's so cool..I have one problem with my 1100 though, I keep scraping the footboards on the street as I'm leaning it over on curves too much...

Yes I have the same problem, the floorboards do not give much clearance on turns. My scrap also if I have to lean heavily on sharp turns, luckly I dont have to make too many of them.

I've learned to live with floorboard scraping as an everyday fact of life. What I also learned though is - when turning, get my toes off the front of the floorboards, because as the bike leans over, the floorboards pivot up - until the contact the front crash bars. And if my toes are in between the floorboards and the crash bars...well, let's just say that the first time this happened, I had the option of enduring the pain of crushed toes, or going wide in the turn and hitting a curb. I took the pain. :)

I just make sure and have my feet up on the highway pegs when I get into tight turns, then they just fold up while scraping.

I jump out of my skin still when I do scrap bottom, I know there's no way around it and I'm glad I haven't smashed my toe's yet, thanks for the heads up on that, I'm afraid if I stuck my size 14" under that bar It would get stuck and I'd fall over at the next stop sign, so I just flop them over on the Highway pegs... :D

I am getting 31-35 mpg, a little lower than I would like. But the bike starts and runs good, so not sure if it needs some tuning.

most guys with 1500 and 1800 wings rev them way more than necessary which gets them less mpg. get in " od " asap and let the motor do the work, even if you are just cruising 30 mph
