Hello

Post by Velcro » Tue Apr 24, 2018 4:57 am

Just saying hello. I’ve got three GL1100 frames with 5 engines and lots of parts - basically three complete bikes and bits. I plan to build three mild naked wing customs. I’ve previously built and registered a lotus 7 S3 replica, but building bikes is not my regular thing.

I’m in Cambridgeshire, so please say hi if you’re local to me.

Cheers

Welcome. Whilst Leicester is not exactly close to Cambridgeshire, at least it's on the same side of the pond. I'd love a nice naked gl1000 to compliment my 1500! One day maybe.

So not being into bikes, how do you come across such a treasure trove?

Ha Ha ha. Yes I'd love to, but going to have quite a bit of work on with my own bike which is currently in Tenerife awaiting the next shipping container home! When it gets back, it will need some longer-term maintenance items doing, such as cam belts and I'll be fitting braided brake hoses whilst I'm doing all new fluids all around and then a general tidy-up. Currently trying to build a bike store for it at the side of my house, as I spent the previous year converting my garage into a dining room/home cinema, and then went and bought a GL1500 Doh!!!!
