Lazy Susan, Cheap

Postby littlebeaver » Wed Nov 10, 2010 2:40 pm

There are times when I just want to turn that sucker around and face it in the other direction, I got two old plastic lids off some old bends we had and cut the sides off making them flat, I put some soap and water between them threw them both down and placed the bike center stand on them raising the bike on top of them and I just pushed down a little on the rear and spin it slowly..Cool huh...Now don't go blame me if you don't do it right because you are goofy..Do it if you want to, or don't..Works great for me though

Nah, all you need to do is this:

I've seen a young girl do this to her GSXR1100 - so you big manly man should be able to do this to your Wing, right?

Let me know how it works out for you. :)

i agree dingdong, i use to do that withwith my old 750 hondas but i don't think that will work with a dressed 1100, 1200, or 1500 wing. at 600lbs i wouldn't want to do that with a nakked wing

I cannot see a wing side stand supporting a 900lbs bike whilst you spin it arround!! As mentioned, I have done this on other sport motorcycles, but the wing doesn't fall into the category of sport motorcycle (at least not in my mind!). I could see me ending up with a broken side stand, scratched wing and a double hernia!!

yeh, I've had three hernia surgeries working construction for a lot of years they are not fun, don't go try anything foolish like that.. I love the way she brings in the guitar when she tells about the bike falling on her.. funny stuff.. What the heck is wrong with her boyfriend???

Well, I think that would be a hell of a trick with a GL1800. I can't get the thing up on the center stand for crying out loud, but that is one of the skills I need to bone up on, as I never owned a bike with a center stand before. I'll keep a tryin tho.
