Old to riding, new to the forum

Post by RobKH7MW » Wed Dec 01, 2010 4:41 am

Old to riding, in fact just old, 66 to be exact and riding for 54 years, motorcycle owner for 52 years.

Riding my second Wing. First was an 01 1800 that I totaled off the BRP in June of 08, and so I bought this 08 1800 in Chattanooga, TN.

I try to get to the mainland most every summer for 3-5 months of riding. I am a mini-tour guide at Americade, and I expect to be again this year.

'Nuff about me. Just wanted to say Howdy.

Hi Rob
And welcome from WI.
I too have been riding for some time, age 71.But I just put my old 1982 A to bed for the winter,in fact as I look out side I see snow flakes. So winter is on our door step here on the shore of Lake Michigan
I bet that was a long ride back from Tenn to Hawaii, with that new Wing
I see you are a Ham op, ( KH7MW ) according too QRZ, but would rather ride then call CQ.

I have been riding a while (40 years), and hope to ride as long as you. My first 'Wing was a used 1975, and I am the second owner of a 1983 Interstate with 46,982 miles. As much as I like the 1983, I miss the 1975. Next year I am going to search for a newer bike, hopefully less than 20 years old!
Have a great winter, and welcome to the board!
