winterize my WING?

Post by furnacedoc » Thu Dec 02, 2010 5:22 pm

Hello, I am planning on changing the oil on my wing to get it ready for winter and next season, is there any thing else I should do over the winter months for preventative maintenance. It has 48,500 miles on it and it is q a 97 se. should I change timing belts or anything else?

Right off the batt,
I would make sure you top off your fuel tank and add some StaBil or Seafoam to help preseve your fuel system. Run it to get the mixture through the entire system.
With that kind of milage I would go ahead and do the timing belts.
Put it on it's centerstand.
Might want to pull the battery and store it separate and on a piece of wood not on the concrete. Concrete will destroy a battery quick.
I also reduce the air presure in the suspension. kiid of puts the bike in the relaxed mode.
