Ebay 1200 used engine on the way.

Well haven't been on here for a while. Blew the right bank head gasket on Veterans day and pulled the head to find my JB weld type block repair from last winter didn't hold. I have a nice looking (in Pics) 60K mile 1200 engine coming that suposedly runs good of Ebay. Its from an 85 going into an 84 so don't know if I'll have changes that will need to be reengineered. I think the pulse generators are in a different place but I think everything else is the same. Hopefully that can be solved by moving the wiring around. Plan to use my old carbs, intake, exhaust, and starter and stator with fresh timing belts and see what happens. My front forks had started leaking as well so plan to pull and reseal them as well. Had planned to repaint but I think that will now have to wait another year. Hope to be running by mid March.

How can that be??? According to JB Weld, they repair CAT diesel engine blocks with the stuff! :) :)

I like JB Weld, I use it on lots of stuff...but when it comes to repairing serious pieces of metal like engine blocks....I'll go with a weld, or a replacement. :)

I have really only a couple things on my "winter maintenance" list this year...I hope that doesn't mean that all the stuff is just waiting to break and go wrong when riding weather returns next spring!

Well, I did get 8000 miles out of it so prolonged the inevitable!
