Light Brackets

Postby fysty-1 » Wed Jan 05, 2011 1:31 am

Has anyone on thier i-net travellings ever come across brackets like these only made to fit 1" tubing? http://www.saber-cycle.com/store/product432.html I just happened on these and thought that they would make great Driving lamp brackets. Not so flimsy looking as some of the others.

If it comes from Saber Cycle, I would view it immediately as of suspect quality. Never mind the fact that I'd never buy anything from that place in the first place.

It just boggles my mind that people cannot read. I have posted this on 4 forums and sofar have gotten the same sort of responce. If any of you all knew me, you would know that I too would never buy from them. But it is NOT this bracket that I am interested in as this one only fits 1/2"-3/8" tubing. I am looking fgor a very similar style of bracket that will fit 1" tubing as in our engine guards. :? :? :? :?

I want to thank all those who looked for me. The above links are what I have had suggested so far. So I guess tha means that my search is over because these 3 sites alone have a number of styles that will look good on Baby's engine guards

Mam, if you get creative I bet you could modify something using some highway footpeg clamps, something to think on, sounds like a fun project to me.. :D

As a matter of fact Littlebeaver, one of the brackets that I posted a link for are for just that, & as I said I now have my anwser to my quiery. I have neither the place or the ability to fuss with such projects as I live in an RV park and as such that kind of thing is Verbotten. If i can't just do a real quick bolt on then I have to take it to a stealer for the work to be done. Not all of us old folk are retired with pensions up to yazoo & miniture farms to be able to raise a herd of Wings. I have a 40' RV with 3 tip outs.

Thanks Halbudd, but if you don't check a persons profile or belong to all the other forums (that I do), It is pretty much a normal assumtion that the poster os a guy. on a cheerier note: if I were to quote Barry McQuire (@ least in my case) "we are all Car Guys" What can I say, I'm as big a tomboy now as I was back in 1960. If life (financially) had gone a different route for me, I most likely would have a stableful of hotrods & custom cars, as well as a herd of wings.

Heck I came over here just 2 months after Admin started it. He left Steve's & I followed. Tanygaer, left Steve's & I followed. Vic, left Steve's & I followed. I gues I just have no sense of direction. :o

I never left Steve's...I'm definitely not as active as I once was over there (time constraints!) but I do go over once in a while and try to help out still!

I didn't mean you or any of us left Steve's for good. It was just a turn of a phrase. I an very active on all 5 forums that I am on, I just don't post as much as I used to but I tryand read the recent post on all sites everyday. And that is where the rub for Steve's site is. There is on average 50-60 posts each day due to it's size. I guess it is hard to judge my dry wit in text. :o :o
