Hello from a Florida Goldwing nut.
Hi , name is Sonny and I am a 69 year young Wing Nut , I own a 1981 Interstate, a 1982 Interstate and a 1983 Aspencade. The 1981 is in good condition and ridden weekly with only 33000 miles on it, the 82 run great except for dirty carbs which I am going to work on soon.
I just picked up the 83 Aspencade and it has been setting for some time . The speedo shows only 23000 miles, so I am eager to get it going plus it's the Honds red color.
I am new to this forum so hope I am posting correctly.
I will post a picture of my 1981 Interstate.
Well thats about it , will keep you posted as to how the 83 project goes.
Oh ya, I am also a ham radio operator so I may meet You on the air, call sign is wa4ex.

Re: Hello from a Florida Goldwing nut.
Hello Hal and thanks for the reply. The wx here was 80 today with some overcast, a bit windy but still a good day to ride.
The Wife try and get out on the week ends and did so this past weekend. Spent all day Saturday out on the bike and Sunday after Church we went out for Lunch on the bike.
I am still working on both the 81 and 82 Interstate , just picked up the 83 2 weeks ago.
I have been working on Bikes and cars most of my life , even had a bike shop for about 8 years. But I made my living as an electronics tech. I had my own TV shop where I repaired tvs, vcrs, radios and camcorders and parted myself out to other shops when it was slow at my shop.
But I enjoy working on Motorcycles best.
Well thats about it from here . Take care and GOD Bless.

Hi Sonny! Welcome from Michigan. That 80 degrees sure sounds good. It's 14 here and quite windy plus we're waiting for 12" to 14" of snow to arrive tonite.

What types of alarms do you work with, Halbudd?HALBUDD wrote:Sonny Small world I am also electronics teh. work for alarm company here in Louisville Ky Went to R.E.T.S electronics 1985. I put a DSC system in my house last year (basically because I've had two DSC systems before and I'm familiar with the programming of them).

Re: Hello from a Florida Goldwing nut.
I ripped out the piece of junk 4-zone builder ADT system that hadn't worked in years (you could tell it was installed before the drywall was put up) and put in a 24-zone system the way I wanted it. Very happy with it, although I really don't care to pull 24 zones through a finished house ever again - but that's what I said the LAST time I did it!

Re: Hello from a Florida Goldwing nut.
WingAdmin Dsc does make some wireless equipment . Also a intercom system for dsc have put a few in . I like ademco most panels can have wireless or hard wired expanders just about anything you need.. Hal

I really don't like wireless - don't want to have to change batteries, and with 24 zones...DSC is the same, you can stick wireless or wired expanders in.HALBUDD wrote:WingAdmin Dsc does make some wireless equipment .
