They are just jealous and envious that you are doing what they wish they had the guts to do. Just smile at them knowing the truth.

I would bet most of those people telling you this stuff have never had the chance to learn to ride, Motorcycle's are the greatest thing, I love a good adventure, I love how the bike feels when I throttle it up or take a few curves out in the country, and lean it over a little, I love cruising a park on a nice day with my wife or daughter, trailering it across the Nation and camping out as you go.. So Yes, I'd say they are probably a bit jealous of you.. Enjoy your ride is what I say.. :D

And what's wrong with going through a second childhood?

In fact, at fifty something I still refuse to grow up.....

I am 68 and still love to ride. Some people think I am too old, but it makes me feel younger and I will ride as long as I feel I can balance a bike and ride it safely. :D

I turned 65 last March, bought my very FIRST motorcycle last April, and finally got my license last November. I had a BLAST in my very first riding season and am chomping at the bit to get started this season. I wish I would have done this sooner, but... better late than never.

don't worry about what they say, there's nothing like riding a Goldwing. i'm 52 and ride in most kinds of weather (minus the snow) and i still get strange looks from folks. enjoy the feel of it.

If I'm 80 years old I can fall anytime and break a hip Right? If i'm gonna break something I want to at least do it right while I'm enjoying the heck out of myself on a bike :D ...

You are only as old as you feel and think. I will be 65 on the 11 of this month and still love to ride my 08 wing. So tell everyone else you are having fun doing what you want to do. Most of your riders now are the babyboomers.

I say as long as you feel comfortable and Safe riding, Go for It. You and only you will know when its time to stop riding. Life is to short so enjoy it while you can & there is no better way then on a Goldwing. :D

I'm right up there with some of the other people that replied, 73 years young. I commute every day to work and back, I'm going to retire this next month(for the 5th time) and looking forward to doing some touring.

I've been riding bikes since 1968 and people have been telling me it's too dangerous and now that I'm too old. Well that is a matter of opinion and everybody has one so I just take it with a grain og salt an go on living my life as I see fit.

So to all of you riders Ride On.

My wifes grandmothers boyfriend was in his 80's and still rode his goldwing. As long as you feel safe while you ride, tell them to get out of their houses and get a life before life passes them by! :D
Never give it up till you have too!
How many times do I have to tell ya,,, The right tool for the right job!

I will be 60 on Saturday and still ride my wing and when I can't keep it up I will trike it so I can still ride. Like already stated the are jealous of the freedom the bike gives you.

I've been riding motorcycles since 1947. I'm 77 now and i see no end in sight just yet. I only ride about 20,000 miles per year now. I have slowed down a bit but it's as much fun now as it was in the 40's
but it's a dry heat..........
