New Toy!!!

Postby fysty-1 » Wed Mar 02, 2011 3:11 am

I recently got a Dell Streak which is a tablet trying to be a phone. it has a 5" screen Android 2.2. It will do pretty much all my 'puter will. The great thing is that I have now got a mount ( RAM) for both my Van & Bike to mount it. It will do everything that I had 3 or 4 other toys for Phone, MP-3, Email, full GPS. It is Bluetooth enabled and the new BT headset allows me to not to need anything else for my riding pleasures.

Are you willing to hang it off your handlbars and expose it to sun, moisture, birds, wind, grit....

I have a GPS fastened to my handlebars, and a satellite radio...but neither are any kind of expensive device that I would be overly upset to have to replace.

It won't be there unless I am & if it rains, I'll just put it in my pocket. Or cover it.

A ziplock bag and an elastic band works real well for my GPS, can even use the touch screen through the bag. Real cheap and effective to boot.
Ride safe, Todd
