82 Goldwing

Well I am in the home stretch on the restoration of the 82 Goldwing I picked up which has 2554 miles on it. I really doubted the mileage was that low, but the mechanic that has torn down the bike says it is likely true, as parts had minimal wear. I had clutch resurfaced just to be safe. and bike has been completely torn down. I got the paint in this week along with a spray gun. It will end up a "ice crystal turquoise pearl" I am also adding my own artwork. Just need to see how to transfer the images I created. I will upload if possible pictures once it is painted and put back together. I know I am going to end up overpaying for the bike even with the low miles. The paint alone was 300.00 for the materials. Got extra extra clear coat. Even though I do not have to I also paid to take a motorcycle safety course In which I will use the Motorcycle owned by Team Oregon 125-250cc, since I have not ridden since I went to college in the seventies. Still need to buy either a totally new seat with driver back rest ($350.00) or just a driver back rest (170.00). Yes I have a bad back.

Good idea on the safety course. I still take the ASF "experienced rider course" every 2-3 years just as a way of getting rid of bad habits and keeping myself sharp - even though I've been riding for 25 years.
