Has anyone tried those plastic headlight restorers on a helmet shield or motorcycle windshield?

As far as a plastic polish, I use the Honda brand, its relatively cheap and does a great job. Ive never used it on windshields and Ive never used a restorer either. Mine is old fashioned glass, headlight, not plastic.
