First Goldwing

Post by really2bald » Sun Apr 03, 2011 8:36 am

I just bought a 1982 and it is the first GW I have owned. The poor old thing was a bare bones at one point and someone added a Vetter fairing and a set of used bags and trunk. They seem to have done a good job to start but some of their wiring leaves a lot to be desired.
I only located this site last night and from what I can see this it is going to be a second home of mine for a while. I would like to thank you all in advance for answers to the hundreds of questions I will inevitably have as I tear into this thing.

Welcome to the site, as mentioned take a lot of pictures, when you come to put it all back together, you will never have enough pictures of where every part went!! It's a great feeling to ride a bike after you have had it to bits, sorted it out and put it back together... Enjoy the wing and don't hesitate to ask a question, now matter how trivial..
