What a wife!

Post by EODBowhunter » Sun Apr 17, 2011 5:21 pm

I am sitting in Baghdad and checked my email to find pictures of my garage. Instead of CBR600RR and CBR1000RR sitting side by side I see a third bike. My wife up and bought a 2010 Gold Wing for my return gift. I retired in 2006 and after the loss of our son last August I worked in Corporate America. With grief comes clarity. I knew I needed to be back here with my EOD Brothers and Sisters. Now I cannot wait to get home and pilot my very first Gold Wing. A life long dream (since riding on a neighbors in 1973) and now my awesome wife bought one for me. Even the color I wanted. God Bless America!

That's awesome.....SHE's awesome!!!! Now you have an awesome bike to boot. 8-) 8-) 8-)
I have to admit, MY wife is awesome too. She's the drive behind me getting a 'Wing since SHE wants a bike that she can ride on.
Ride safe, and enjoy!

Thought I was lucky when my wife encouraged me to get my Goldwing after a 9 year hiatus.
You are truly a lucky man.

Tkae care, Bro, and come home safe.

Thank you everyone. It looks like I will be driving an hour and a half to and from work at least 3 days a week so the Gold Wing is going to be my best friend. I am going to definitely have to put some passenger arm rests on it so my Lady can be comfortable. Life here is hectic but good. This is my 15th deployment but first as a DoD civilian. God has kept me safe and sound on this go around. Which will be my last as per my wife.

I have and will always honor my wife.

You're one lucky guy. You deserve a wonderful woman like that, and the bike to go along with her. Thanks for your service to us, and thank her for putting up with your absences while deployed. Enjoy!!
